School Leader?  Would your school be interested in participating in a sponsored industry school program or education outreach program that offers industry links and real-world learning opportunities?  Makers Empire partners with education departments, training organisations, community organisations, trusts and foundations to deliver pioneering projects for groups of schools. 

2025 Projects: Open for Expressions of Interest From Schools

Schools in the Port Macquarie, Griffith and Leeton regions of NSW are invited to submit an expression of interest for Naturally Brave 2025 with Bushfire Kids Connect and Growing With Gratitude. This program will be delivered to 20 NSW schools in Port Macquarie, Griffith and Leeton, NSW, in terms 3-4, 2025. Naturally Brave delivers a pioneering and engaging STEM program designed to promote awareness of natural disasters and encourage resilience and empathy in students. Early bird expressions of interest close September 27th, 2024.

Schools in the Eyre Peninsula and Adelaide regions of SA are invited to submit an expression of interest for Naturally Brave 2025 with Bushfire Kids Connect and Growing With Gratitude. Schools in the Townsville regions of QLD are invited to submit an expression of interest for the Advanced Manufacturing Future Skills Townsville School Program with Queensland Government’s Department of Regional Development, Manufacturing & Water. This STEM, additive manufacturing and 3D printing program will be delivered to up to seven junior and senior secondary schools in Townsville in terms 3-4, 2025. Early bird expressions of interest close September 13, 2024.

Schools in the Cairns regions of QLD are invited to submit an expression of interest for the Advanced Manufacturing Future Skills Cairns Schools Program with Queensland Government’s Department of Regional Development, Manufacturing & Water. This STEM, additive manufacturing and 3D printing program will be delivered to up to seven junior and senior secondary schools in Cairns in terms 3-4, 2025. Early bird expressions of interest close September 13, 2024.

2024 Projects: Closed for Expressions of Interest from Schools

STEM Advanced Manufacturing Moreton Bay Future Skills School Program with Queensland Government’s Department of Regional Development, Manufacturing & Water for 8 Moreton Bay secondary schools in term 3-4, 2024. This program delivers a STEM, additive manufacturing and 3D printing program.  Expressions of interest closed June 10, 2024.

Western Sydney Advanced Manufacturing Industry Schools Program for 10 primary and junior secondary schools in the Western suburbs of Sydney. This program will deliver a pioneering STEM, additive manufacturing and 3D printing for teachers and students. This program will run in terms 3-4 for 10 schools. Expressions of interest closed end May 2024.

Aurora Inclusive Space Education Program with The Andy Thomas Space Foundation for 7+ South Australian schools catering to students living with a disability. The program offers engaging and accessible space education opportunities designed specifically for students and young people living with a disability. Expressions of interest closed end May 2024.

Street Smart Road Safety education program with the RAA for 10 primary schools in metropolitan SA and 5 primary schools in the Murray Bridge region during terms 2-3, 2024. This program is designed to promote awareness of road safety and empower students as problem solvers. Expressions of interest closed April 30, 2024.

Naturally Brave with Growing with Gratitude and community group, Bushfire Kids Connect, for 20 primary schools in NSW and 20 primary schools in SA during terms 3-4, 2024. This program is designed to promote awareness of natural disasters and encourage resilience and empathy. Expressions of interest closed March 31, 2024.

STEM Advanced Manufacturing Gold Coast Future Skills School Program with Queensland’s 
Department of Regional Development, Manufacturing & Water and Gold Coast Manufacturing Hub for 10 Gold Coast secondary schools in term 2-4, 2024. Expressions of interest closed March 31, 2024

NSW Space Discovery with the Andy Thomas Space Foundation for 16 NSW primary schools in terms 3 & 4 2024, and 16 more schools in terms 1 & 2, 2025 in the lead up to the 76th International Astronautical Congress: IAC-2025 Sydney. Based on Kids in Space to encourage students to engage with the nation’s space ecosystem. Expressions of interest closed March 31, 2024.

STEM Advanced Manufacturing South West/Toowomba Future Skills School Program with Queensland Government’s  Department of Regional Development, Manufacturing & Water for 5 Toowoomba/SW Darling Down primary & junior secondary schools in term 3-4, 2024. Expressions of interest closed March 31, 2024.

Careers Under Construction with the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) for 20 high schools across SA during terms 1 & 2, 2024. The program introduces students to the construction industry through a design thinking problem-solving methodology. Expressions of interest are closed. This project is fully subscribed.

Kids in Space with The Andy Thomas Space Foundation and the Australian Space Agency for 100+ schools in every state & territory.  This program encourages students to engage with the nation’s growing space ecosystem, introduce them to space technology and jobs within the space industry and spark their interest in a space career.   Expressions of interest closed November 15, 2023. This project is fully subscribed.
