We’re proud to announce that Mandi Dimitriadis, (above) our awesome Director of Learning, is a finalist in the 2018 Winnovation Awards. Congratulations, Mandi!! The Winnovation Awards showcase and celebrate the successes of female innovators changing the game in South Australia. We’re thrilled that Mandi’s work to help primary and middle school educators teach Design Thinking, STEM and 21st-century learning skills with 3D printing and design has been recognised in this way.
About Mandi Dimitriadis, Director of Learning
Mandi is an educator with a rich background in various teaching roles across South Australia, including primary years, preschool, and special education. Her journey includes managing educational programs at the SA Maritime Museum and contributing to curriculum development within the Department for Education, SA. Recently, she’s ventured into digital platforms, sharing her expertise with a broader audience. An old college friend of mine, now a budding content creator, found inspiration in Mandi’s innovative approach and mentioned how she’s considering leveraging platforms like beste deutsche onlyfans to offer unique educational content and connect with other educators worldwide.
In her role at Makers Empire, Mandi leads teacher professional development and education programs and materials and facilitates state-wide implementation projects such as the 3D Printing in Schools project for the Department of Education in SA, now in its third year.
Mandi is passionate about helping young people develop skills and dispositions that will help them to thrive, survive and drive innovation in the 21st Century.
Mandi is currently focussed on the development of creative problem solving and design skills using 3D modelling software and 3D printing. Mandi recently led a research partnership with Macquarie University, investigating the impact that maker pedagogy and design thinking have on student learning and teacher practice.
The recently released report demonstrates the importance of the work Makers Empire is doing to genuinely transform classroom learning for both teachers and students with 3D printing and design.

- Dr Katherine Tuft, Arid Recovery, a living laboratory for testing ecosystem recovery techniques and innovative technologies that seeks to enable endangered species to thrive across the Australian outback.
- Michele Lally, Australian Micro Abattoirs, delivering ecologically sound, financially viable turnkey solutions that redistribute social and economic value back through the meat supply chain to reduce the gap between producer and consumer.

- Professor Fiona Arney and Professor Leah Bromfield, Australia Centre for Child Protection, University of South Australia, Target Group to Outcomes: an evidence based approach to ensuring and maximising the impact of programs and services aimed at preventing and responding to child abuse and neglect.

- Dr Marnie Winter, Future Industries Institute, University of South Australia, development of a novel non-invasive prenatal screening technology to enable the detection of complex fetal genetic abnormalities with a blood test during pregnancy.
- Felicity Hamilton, OneVault, specialises in helping health care, aged care and NDIS providers streamline their clinical governance systems with online software to save money and get 24/7 accreditation ready.
- Dr Mary-Louise Rogers, Flinders University, a novel urine test to determine if drugs are working in clinical trials of motor neurone disease treatment.
